Are You a Six Sigma Green Belt Certification Hopeful?
Can you picture yourself earning the Six Sigma Green Belt certification? Or are you uncertain about what it takes, the process, and exactly what you need to do to make it happen? Or do you lack a good picture of what it might mean to you and your career to have to SSGB certification?
We have the answers to these questions and more in our new eBook on Six Sigma Green Belt certification, as of April 2014. "Six Sigma Green Belt Certification Demystified" teaches you the ins and outs of this certification - what's required, what's involved, and what might it mean for you - so that you can make a well-informed decision for yourself.
Here is a sample of the kind of info you'll find in the SSGB eBook:
Organizations providing the Green Belt certification vary, and here is why. Many of them focus on Six Sigma implementation strategy and support as a package, and that includes classroom training - and their own certificate or brand of certification - for the client's employees. These services are mostly provided to specific major industries or large organizations.
You can see that you, as an individual or smaller company, may not have the opportunity to simply be assigned to the Six Sigma initiative, which would include the training, paid by the company. Or, if you are not even in a company with Six Sigma but want to break into the field, or at least build the skill set, you will be unable, with this approach, to gain access to such training. Or, one more negative, you could simply find that in order to get up to speed for the Six Sigma Green Belt, you will need to spend a very substantial sum of money.
So the question is, "How can I break in to the Six Sigma world?"
Whether you are selling products, trying to break into new markets, or starting a a new career, getting your foot in the door is the common challenge! It's the same thing with Six Sigma.
But there is a way to break in, and get the skills on your own that can get you in the door...
Six Sigma is a well-established body of knowledge. And there is an eco-system surrounding it, including standards bodies.
And, among standards bodies and certifying organizations, the criteria for Green Belt certification is pretty consistent across the board.
Furthermore, while there are various certifications that businesses respect, such as those provided by training and implementation organizations, the core one that is easily accessible to you - and that our training is specifically mapped to - is that of the American Society for Quality (ASQ).
An ASQ Green Belt exam is available in early June, so if you start now, your timing is good. You do need to pay the certifying organization (the ASQ at www.asq.org) to take the exam. The training prepares you to pass the exam.
